This newsletter has information about two of my upcoming holiday miniature shows; one in Estes Park, Colorado, and one in Germanton, North Carolina. I painted this month’s featured painting a couple of months ago on a plein air painting excursion (Backlit Trees, Oil on Linen, 8 x 10 inches, pictured). It is available now for $700 from my studio; comment on this post or click here to contact me about it.

    This is really nice, Dan.
Do you frame a lot with the black plein air frames ?
I haven’t yet , but this looks good with the black.

Thanks — I’ve just recently started using more of these black frames and I’m liking them. Some artist friends of mine are making these frames in Salida, Colorado and they’re doing a really nice job with them. They seem to work well with a lot of paintings.
