Featured Painting

American Impressionist Society Show
There is still time to see the 10th Annual American Impressionist Society National Show at Saks Galleries in Denver. Many of you know that my painting Sand Creek, Oil on Linen, 18 x 24 inches (pictured above), was awarded First Place by the award judge, artist Quang Ho. As far as I know, the painting is still available at the show for $2,700. If you get a chance, stop by to see the show before it ends on December 1st.
The goal of the American Impressionist Society, Inc. (AIS) is "To promote the appreciation of Impressionism through exhibitions, workshops and other media." Membership is open to all Impressionist artists and any who would like to support Impressionism. Emphasis is always on capturing light and color, using broken brush strokes and thick impasto spots of color to create a dazzling impression of the subject.

Reily Fine Art Miniature Show
I've been invited to participate in a holiday miniature show at Reily Fine Art in Estes Park, Colorado from November 25, 2009 thru January 3, 2010. An open house for this exhibit and sale will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2009, from 1 to 4 pm, and open houses will continue every Saturday until Christmas for you and your guest. Come enjoy these beautiful little paintings for the holidays and take one home as a one-of-a-kind gift or stocking stuffer. Refreshments will be served.
