Opening weekend of Ojai Mystique at @ojaivalleymus Opening weekend of Ojai Mystique at @ojaivalleymuseum was great! Most of the artists were in attendance. We had two opening receptions, an exhibition walk-through led by @c.kirkegaardframes, an artist party, a paint-out in downtown Ojai, and artist talks by @obermeyerstudio, @wirthwatching, and @carolynlordca, along with the sale of several paintings. And now the exhibition will remain on display through August 9, 2026, with several more artist talks and demonstrations scheduled. Many paintings are still available for purchase to support programs of the Ojai Valley Museum! Exhibiting artists not pictured/tagged: @davesantillanes.art, @charlesmuenchfineart, @jessepowellart, Sarah Vedder, John Nava. #ojaivalleymuseum #ojaicalifornia #ojaimystique

If you’ve been looking for a lightweight, portable If you’ve been looking for a lightweight, portable easel for outdoor painting, I’ve really been liking the U.GO pochade box from @newwaveart. I’ve got my whole gouache kit down to 5.5 lbs, including the tripod. Great for hiking or biking to those distant painting spots. 🚲 I posted a review of it on my blog. (Link in my bio.) #newwaveart #portableeasel #pochadebox
